r3mg:: web design – colleen hurley, rd
For the last few months, I’ve been working with Brian Hurley, and his sister, Colleen Hurley on a new website design for Colleen. She is a registered dietician, but get your “old lady and castor oil” thoughts out of your head. (And stop watching cartoons). Colleen is the exact opposite of anything you’ve ever thought of in a profession like hers.
Colleen is dedicated to wellness education, in a fun and engaging manner. Her brother Brian, fully believes in Colleen (as do a lot of us) and his passion to share her knowledge with the world, is equal to her passion to educate and empower. Check her site frequently for her latest tips, tidbits of knowledge, maybe some recipes and new blog posts (coming soon).
Design Points:
All colors represent different fruits and vegetables. The color palette for this site defines a rainbow of nutritious and delicious elements of wellness.
Colleen’s logo (originally designed by Brian), features a sea turtle (a Pacific Islander symbol of Mother Earth, the Om or Aum symbol (a Hindu symbol for God), and mountains which are a Native American symbol for abundance.
These basic principles were followed and featured in all aspects of this web design: clean, colorful, knowledgeable, open, comfortable, truthful and respectful.
